虚惊一场

—-Are you Jewish?

—-No, I’m Chinese.

—-Are you Chinese Jewish?

—-No, I’m Chinese Chinese J

—-…= =…You know Jerusalem… Not only Jewish, but also Moslems, want it. And Christians want it, too (paraphrased)… Every president of the United States…You see Obama, Bush, they’re all Christians… They all want Jerusalem.

Well, let me say. I don’t mean he was implying that it was religion the very cause that US and some other western countries are interested in Jerusalem’s internationalization. (I didn’t even know how he went to switch to this when we were just having a random talk on my ill enthusiasm on Israel) Anyway, I immediately realized something was neglected. He provided me with a brand new perspective, through which I could see the issue differently. Since then I dare not to forget this lesson (partly because of what?). And I got a chance to go a little bit deeper.

I thought the idea of internationalization is appealing to those who’re eager to see the peace progress in the Middle East like Mr. Ex-president Bush. (I was informed before leaving home that Ehud Olmert was planning an unofficial meeting with Bush. This issue was involved. Thank God they’re both about to retire respectively!!). So back here again, This city is so special as both Israel and Palestinian claim it as their capital city. For peace, the 3rd one think out of a compromise proposal. So that Palestinians are comforted. Israelis might be safer than before. Arabic world will trust US bit more…They will win politically and economically and even on humanitarian level…Isn’t it natural?

But when statement A “They are all Christians” and statement B “They all want Jerusalem” are connected with a cause-effect line, I got astonished! That means purposes for US to propose the process of internationalization also includes their desire for it. And once it was internationalized, it was no longer Israel’s, and it might be open wider for Christians ??? (Then we see how evil it is!! This project might have been set up long before we all had known. Westerners didn’t succeed to drag Israelis away from the city after 6-days-war because they never really wanted to – those condemns were not honest. First of all they had to expel the Arabs- It’s nice that they didn’t have to do this on their own because Israelis had done that. Secondly they made excuse of Middle East peace and gradually grab hold of Jerusalem just like what they’re doing now until it’s under neither Israeli nor Arab’s control. Finally they take the major govern of that city! Fooooomidablllllllllle Trilogy!!

Sound bit ridiculous? But I dare NOT to underestimate this assumption. There’s an undistinguishable feeling that religion belief has large effect on how they think and what they think. So I couldn’t wait to cast my doubts to JJ Christian. But she answered in absolute denial:” I don’t think so…” So I understood what a genuine Christian really care about isn’t anything formalistic but a real belief deep inside. Jesus is anywhere. JJ said she didn’t have a kind of aspiration to Jerusalem, though she might be sensitive to it. (So the fact is, I yearn for it while a Christian does not) Then all my illusion vanished in a second lol~ happy to know this conjecture couldn’t stand on itself. I tend to believe most Christians are wise enough not to even think about stealing Israel’s capital city away.
